WHAT TO LOOK FOR IMAGING IMAGING We will see examples of the appearance of Neuromas with contrast but in routine imaging there is no need to give contrast. The diagnosis can be confidently made on non contrast scans.

WHERE Most often seen in the 2nd and 3rd inter-space between the metatarsal heads. WHY Most likely due to chronic micro trauma and compression of the nerve against the deep transverse inter-metatarsal ligament resulting in degeneration
