BICEPS TENDON SHEATH TENOSYNOVITIS

 

  • There can normally be a small amount of fluid in the biceps tendon sheath.

 

  • However in this case there is markedly increased fluid in the biceps tendon sheath in keeping with tenosynovitis.

 

  • Additionally there is intermediate signal soft tissue thickening in the sheath in keeping with synovial thickening.

There is,

  1. Significantly increased fluid in the biceps tendon sheath (Pink arrow).
  2. Areas of synovial thickening in the biceps tendon sheath (Green arrow).
