Very happy to announce the 3rd MSK MRI Workstation Workshop will be held in Kuala Lumpur on the weekend of the 11th and 12th of February 2017. This will be a beginners to intermediate workshop where we will cover all the important aspects of MRI of the Lower Limb: Knee, Hip and Ankle/Foot that you need to have a firm understanding of when you report. We have reduced the number of joints covered from the Workshop in 2016 as this gives us more time to go into greater depth and also a lot more time to review dicoms, which is the only way to learn. A second workshop covering the Upper Limb: Shoulder, Elbow and Wrist will be held later in the year.
The best way to learn is to view and assess studies just like you would at work. Like all our workshops, this is Workstation based where you will have individual workstations with guided viewing of over 200- 300 dicom studies over the weekend, in addition to presentations to give you the background knowledge. We have a structured method of learning which helps you to retain and reinforce the information you learn.
In our previous workshops people have brought in scans for review and have discussed their scan protocols which is beneficial for all participants. We strongly encourage this.
The easiest part about learning is forgetting. Its very important to keep refreshing and reviewing what has been learnt. We are in the process of setting up a server where dicom studies with reports will be available. We will regularly send new cases to all registrants who will have free access to these cases.
Our single aim is for people to learn to report confidently and accurately. We hope you will be able to join us.
